The expansion of the Maricopa County Jail involves eight individual projects with approximately 3,139 adult beds, 388 juvenile beds, a food factory, laundry facilities, storage warehouse, juvenile courts, a parking structure, renovations and upgrades to several existing facilities. ATL provided testing of subsoil compaction and import compaction, caisson inspection, corrosive testing of soils and soil classifications including ABC. Concrete sampling and testing for foundations and precast wall panels, masonry mortar grout sampling and testing, masonry block prism sampling and testing, masonry block prism sampling and testing services were also provided by ATL. The company also provided: Asphalt sampling, testing and inspection. Structural steel field welding and bolting inspection, magnetic particle and dye penetrate. Steel joist and deck welding inspection. Spray applied fireproofing inspection and testing. ATL also provided the geotechnical investigation and seismic study for this project.
